Woodinville is located in the north central section of King County, immediately east of the intersection of State Route (SR) 522 and Interstate 405. IT located at the north end of the Sammamish Valley River Valley where Little Bear Creek meets Sammamish River. The valley is shaped by steep, thickly-wooded slopes where most of Woodinville's residential development is located. Commercial, industrial and agricultural activities mostly cluster on the valley floor, although there is some light industry located on slopes and plateaus. Woodinville is primarily a community of single-family dwellings, with about 37% multi-family development.
